the acquisition of an air conditioning manufacturing facility for
a manufacturing joint venture in India; hiving off of a hot dip
galvanizing facility for one of the largest steel manufacturers
in India; the acquisition of a wind turbine blades manufacturing
company for an English private equity house; and Real Estate
transactions in excess of 200,000 sq ft for office space and 62
acres for manufacturing facilities.
The firms Intellectual Property practice covers copyright,
trademark, design and patent registration, and litigation for enforcement
of IP rights. The firms litigation department is currently representing
a global leader in air-conditioning sector in a major trademark
infringement matter. The firm is also assisting its clients in investigation
and prosecuting trademark infringement by counterfeit manufacturers
and traders.
The Litigation & Arbitration group represents
multinational and domestic companies involved in all areas of business
such as automotive reprographics, chemicals, heavy industry, financial
services, power, telecom and roads sector. Members of the firm appear
before the Supreme Court of India, State High Courts and other judicial
forums.
The firm is active in the field of Project Finance and advises
corporate houses and investment bankers on debt and equity offerings.
The firm recently assisted the legal advisers of a multinational
conglomerate going for initial public offering at the London Stock
Exchange.

Power and Telecom sectors. It has been advising international

aspects, including project finance. The firm advised a nuclear power
utility company for private equity in the nuclear sector; a subsidiary
of Indian Railways for transfer of telecom assets and right of way
worth Rs. 7.5bn; and was involved with a global telecom company
